See the general discussion of section 10. What constitutes "arrest" or "detention"? The meaningful exercise of the section 10(b) right to counsel is ensured through the section 10(a) right to be informed promptly of the reasons for one’s arrest or detention (see R. 1233 at 1242-43, as reaffirmed in Sinclair, supra at paragraph 26). The emphasis is on ensuring that the detainee’s decision to cooperate with the investigation or to decline to do so is free and informed. Section 10(b) does not guarantee that the detainee’s decision is wise nor does it guard against subjective factors that may influence the decision. Rather, it aims to give detainees the opportunity to access legal advice relevant to that choice ( Sinclair, supra at paragraph 26). 310). More specifically, the purpose of the right to counsel is "to allow the detainee not only to be informed of his rights and obligations under the law but, equally if not more important, to obtain advice as to how to exercise those rights" ( R. The purpose of section 10(b) is to provide an individual who has been arrested or detained with an opportunity to obtain legal advice relevant to his or her legal situation ( R. ![]() This will cause the driver to simply produce PostScript and not go onto the Acrobat Distiller conversion of PostScript to PDF. PS: One thing you can do to help troubleshoot the problem is to try changing the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver to temporarily point to port FILE: instead of port Adobe PDF. Maybe you and other Revit customers can convince Autodesk to reach out to us? This is not just “a critical issue for Adobe” but rather, a critical issue for Autodesk that we would like to assist our mutual customers overcome. Again the problem could be in Revit in terms of how it interacts with the print driver, Microsoft in terms of how the PostScript driver is converting the print stream from Revit to PostScript, or less likely, some internal limitation or problem within Distiller. We would need Autodesk's active assistance in terms of providing software and sample problematic files for anyone at Adobe to be able to even begin helping Autodesk to resolve the issue. (5) We have no idea where the issue is since as far as I know, Autodesk has not reached out to Adobe to assist in troubleshooting the issue. (4) Autocad itself acknowledges that the problem occurs with at least one other third party PDF driver / creator. In the description of the problem Autodesk's article specifically points to model complexity as a major factor in the symptoms occurring or being alleviated. For complex models, the output is just that much more in size and complexity. (3) CAD software typically produces very verbose output, exceptional numbers of line segments and itsy-bitsy filled polygons which in turn produces even more complex PostScript and PDF, even for simple models. It is in either the creation of the PostScript or in the Distiller. (2) Revit creates PDF with Acrobat via printing to the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance in which content provided by Revit is converted to PostScript with the driver itself (a Microsoft component) which is then fed into Acrobat Distiller (a component of Adobe Acrobat) which converts the PostScript to PDF. The variable here appears to be Autodesk Revit, not Adobe Acrobat. (1) Clearly the problem started with recent versions of Autodesk Revit beginning in 2016 and continuing on through at least the current 2017 release. I have looked at the Autodesk article cited as well as the postings on Autodesk's forums. ![]() ![]() SPB is designed to run in parallel with other network layer protocols such as IPv4 and IPv6. SPB augments IS-IS with a small number of TLVs and sub-TLVs, and supports two Ethernet encapsulating data paths, 802.1ad Provider Bridges (PB) and 802.1ah Provider Backbone Bridges (PBB). This permits SPB to support large Layer 2 topologies, with faster convergence, and improved use of the mesh topology when compared to networks configured with Spanning Tree Protocol. ![]() SPB allows for shortest-path forwarding in a mesh-connected Ethernet network utilizing multiple equal-cost paths. SPB requires no state machine or other substantive changes to IS-IS, and simply requires a new Network Layer Protocol Identifier (NLPID) and set of TLVs. The Intermediate System to Intermediate System (IS-IS) protocol, as defined in the IETF proposed standard RFC 6329, is used as the control plane for SPB. RFC 6329 - IS-IS Extensions Supporting IEEE 802.1aq Shortest Path Bridging.IEEE P802.1Qcj - Automatic Attachment to Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB) services.IEEE 802.1Qbp - Equal Cost Multiple Paths in Shortest Path Bridging.IEEE 802.1ag - Connectivity Fault Management (CFM).During the games this fabric network could handle up to 54 Tbit/s of traffic. The 2014 Winter Olympics were the first "fabric-enabled" Games using SPB "IEEE 802.1aq" technology. During Interop 2014 SPB was used as the backbone protocol which can enable software-defined networking (SDN) functionalities. In 20 SPB was used to build the InteropNet backbone with only one-tenth the resources of prior years. In May 2013, the first public multi-vendor interoperability was demonstrated as SPB served as the backbone for Interop 2013 in Las Vegas. In March 2012 the IEEE approved the 802.1aq standard. On 4 March 2006 the working group posted 802.1aq draft 0.1. The control plane is based on the Intermediate System to Intermediate System (IS-IS) routing protocol, leveraging a small number of extensions defined in RFC 6329. Unicast, multicast, and broadcast are supported and all routing is on symmetric shortest paths. Packets are encapsulated at the edge either in MAC-in-MAC per IEEE 802.1ah or tagged per IEEE 802.1Q or IEEE 802.1ad and transported only to other members of VLAN. The technology provides VLANs on native Ethernet infrastructures using a link-state protocol to advertise both topology and VLAN membership. It is designed to preserve the plug-and-play nature that established Ethernet as the de facto protocol at layer 2. These block any redundant paths that can result in a switching loop, whereas SPB allows all paths to be active with multiple equal-cost paths, provides much larger layer-2 topologies, supports faster convergence times, and improves the efficiency by allowing traffic to load share across all paths of a mesh network. SPB is designed to replace the older spanning tree protocols: IEEE 802.1D STP, IEEE 802.1w RSTP, and IEEE 802.1s MSTP. This technology is intended to simplify the creation and configuration of Ethernet networks while enabling multipath routing. Because you only order when a consumer puts an order, your item is already sold by the time it reaches you, eliminating the need to have your things on hand for an extended period of time. ![]() The warehouse holding expenses are maintained to a bare minimum in a just-in-time delivery system. Warehousing is costly, and having too much inventory may cause your holding expenses to quadruple. When you use a just-in-time system, you only order what you need, eliminating the danger of stockpiling useless goods. These unsalable items end up in inventory dead stock, which increases waste and takes up valuable storage space in the warehouse. ![]() In addition, manufacturers are not left with unsold inventory if an order is cancelled or not completed as expected.īy minimising overhead costs, the purpose of adopting JIT inventory management is to increase a company’s operational profit while simultaneously lowering costs.Ī just-in-time approach avoids overproduction, which occurs when the supply of a certain item in the market exceeds the demand, resulting in a buildup of unsalable stocks in the warehouse. Because of an inflexible supply chain that is burdened by long-lead orders and overflowing warehouses, the firm is unable to adapt to shifting market conditions and new prospects.īecause producers do not have to pay to store their goods, just-in-time manufacturing technologies help to reduce inventory expenses. Inventory indicates a financial commitment of working capital that might be better used elsewhere in the organisation. If the excess resources are not sold or utilised within a reasonable amount of time, they might have a catastrophic impact on the financial health of the organisation. It has been asserted by certain businesses that “Inventory means death.” In other words, the firm will not be able to survive if it has an excessive amount of inventory on hand. Many organisations have embraced just-in-time inventories in order to save money and remain competitive in the marketplace. In order to attain high production volumes with low inventory on hand, it is necessary to increase efficiency while simultaneously minimising waste. JIT inventory guarantees that there is just the correct quantity of inventory to manufacture just what you need, when you need it by keeping inventory levels at a constant level. Aiming for high volume manufacturing while keeping inventory to a bare minimum and eliminating waste is the objective. With just-in-time inventory, you can guarantee that you have enough inventory to manufacture just what you need, when you need it. ![]() This strategy requires precise demand forecasting on the part of manufacturers. These inventory strategies are used by businesses to boost efficiency and minimise waste by acquiring items just when they are required for the manufacturing process, which decreases inventory expenses. When it comes to inventory management, the just-in-time (JIT) inventory system is a technique that matches raw-material orders from suppliers directly with production schedules. ![]()
